WSIS Forum 2023 Hackathon - Digital GovHack

WSIS Forum 2023 Hackathon - Digital GovHack Advancing the Digital Economy by Leveraging Emerging
flash-newsletter6.png

Technology has revolutionized our world and changed our daily lives where everything is connected and accessible. Emerging technologies are now also reshaping the government and public services of tomorrow making a shift in the way governments around the world are embracing their mission. By integrating these emerging technologies, we are highlighting “GovTech”, a whole-of-government approach to public sector modernization. GovTech emphasizes three aspects of public sector modernization: citizen-centric public services that are universally accessible, a whole-of-government approach to digital government transformation, and simple, efficient, and transparent government systems. The use of new solutions to modernize the public sector could be an excellent way to realize the promises of the information era and advance digital economies globally by leveraging emerging technologies.

The Digital Government Authority (DGA) and the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2023, in collaboration with other stakeholders, are organizing a Global Hackathon to reach the larger innovation community and champions in an attempt to contribute to building the GovTech of tomorrow and help ensure a better future for us, all in line with the WSIS Action Lines and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
